Hi guys, the name is Jon,

I hail from Perth, Western Australia, and as this is my first post, I thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm into cars and it really doesn't matter what make or model, as long as it looks good and drives well. (Ok, except for anything Asian or Holdens)

I'm the new owner of the 1972 Pontiac Lemans Station Wagon with T-41 Endura front end that was discussed earlier this year on this forums.

I've owned quiet a few cars over the years, starting with a 1970 Holden HG Kingswood Station Wagon, with the Aussie 253 V-8 and Trimatic Transmission.

From there I progressed in this order.

1973 Holden HQ Sedan 202 inline six with fold down front seat. (my father sold it on me, when I left it at his house with a ruptured rear brake line. He claimed I owed him money so sold it to my Step Brother.....A'hole) I no longer like Holdens.

1974 Ford XB Fairmont Sedan 302 Cleveland and 4 Speed. Sold when I got married.

1980 Ford XD Fairmont Station Wagon 302 Cleveland and C-4 Auto. I really loved this car, but it got stripped by a lightfingered thief. It was never the same afterwards. Sold it to buy a Nissan 4x4.

1989 Nissan Patrol 4x4. POS most the time, but easy to work on.

1991 Toyota Landcruizer 4x4, great fishing rig, went to the wife in property settlement.

2004 Ford XR8 Sedan 5.4 ltr 5 speed......Still got her, and still love her, bought from new.

1976 Ford Fairmont XB 2 door Hardtop, 351 Cleveland and FMX, 4 wheel discs, Sold to pay off the Wife's debts.

1973 Ford Falcon GS, XB 2 door Hardtop, 250 inline six, w/2V heads and 4 speed, Sold to pay off the Wife's debts.

1966 Valiant Regal Sedan with 225 slant six.........I've had this car 10 years, it's still registered and Stored. I've never driven it.....one day.

1977 Ford F-100 4 wheel drive, 351 Cleveland w/4 speed. my parts pick up truck.

1979 Camaro Z-28, 350 with Turbo 350, and C'C T-Tops. Starts, Runs, stops, a slow work in progress.

1976 Pontiac Trans Am 455 w/TH400 (ok it's not original, was 400 and TH350) which I drive as much as I can,

And finally what has bought me out here,

In one month my 1972 Pontiac Lemans Wagon will arrive, and I'm looking forward to starting a rebuild thread on this little puppy, once I get her into the garage.

    Thanks for having me...

    Jon

Will post photos when I can.........thanks again to Kenny for making this possible.

Congrats on that rare wagon. Should be fun with the 455. That must have cost a pretty penny to ship over. What do you plan on doing first?

    Welcome, Jon..........

Yes, we all were admiring that Le Mans wagon, particularly me. As a matter of fact, I'm looking for wagon right now, and that one would certainly be one I'd consider. Yeah, I'm always at least a day late. Probably just a few bucks short on that one as well......

Great selection of vehicles you've owned - and you have pics! For some reason, I was never in the habit of taking many pics of my vehicles - got a few, but there's so many that came and went without being 'saved' for posterity......

Nice to have you here! Please join in on the discussions......we always love an upside-down viewpoint....LOL

Well, I was thinking Body, suspension, brakes, driveline, in that order. But need to have a good look at her first.

    thanks Marshall, I shall.....cheers.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, I'm going to like it here.

She shall be the second LHD car I'll own, the T/A is a lefty as well, and as our road laws are a little more liberal over here in WA, I don't need to convert her over to the right hand side. So it's all good. All I need worry about is that she meets Australian Standards for that model year.

The good thing about the wife and I parting company is, I can buy what I want when I want......
