Just a quick intro, since I have never posted before. I have enjoyed the various forum discussions and have learned a lot from them

I am still driving my 1988 Country Squire with 169,000+ miles. Have replaced front clip twice from head on incidents - one by teenager late for school who tried to beat the traffic in the turn-only lane on my right and only saw me at last instant. He tried valiantly to make a dodge to his right, lining him up dead center. Unfortunately I had nowhere to go and slammed on the brake slowing enought that his air bag didn't even imflate. I must say his Subaru took a worse beating than my "tank". My engne was still running when Police arrived. Had a stiff neck and real bruises daigonally down my chest from the seat belt otherwise no damage to anyone. I bought used left fender and new plastic front end and had it repainted. Old red still soldiers on.

I am doing some touch up on her now. Have replaced woodgrain once before and now having trouble finding NOS or replacement that closely matches. Any help would be appreciated. Glad to see so many good folks who appreciate these dinasours. Look forward to fun exchanges and good info from the "experts".

    life in the wagon lane

was to iowa and won my class in st paul and in west fargo, had a brake caliper problem and working on that appears to have a off shoot of a camaro 1970 left caliper on the RH side these cars dont come with a instruction book for unknown parts,so that has to be dealt with and the piston is really stuck

been working on a 1953 chev doing a body job and replacing engine and transmission and putting on working lakers nothing like putting a rust bucket together with bondo:dance:
