    Hey Ya’ll.
Okay, I have been trying to find a LF fender for the 85 Caprice Estate, but to no avail (not any with decent wood anyway).

So, if I broke down and got one with deteriorated wood, is there any place to get replacement wood for it?
Or does anyone know where I can get a decent LF fender with wood and cornering lights for an 80-90 Caprice Estate? (I know, long shot, but figured it couldn’t hurt to put it out there).
I’ve checked all the local yards and car-parts.com, nothing!
    Thanks,
    William

    Car-Part.com has these 3 - all w/ woodgrain:

    1. $50 '89 (no color specified)
    Holland's Auto Parts, Hollister, Fl
    Stk# 060399
    Ph# 386-328-1945

    2. $75 '90 White
    Economy Auto Sales
    Lake City, SC
    Stk# A-284005
    Ph# 843-389-9015

    3. $75 '87 Tan
    Smith Motors
    Anderson, SC
    Stk# A56488

#3 is supposed to also have cornering lamp and have no damage.

    Wood fender

    Thanks K,
I contacted the first two a couple of days ago, Holland's car was already crushed, and the other fender was shot.
I'll give the 3rd one a call tomorrow, no answer just now!
Just tried the third one in SC, car was gone.

Didn't think that I would have such a hard time finding a fender with decent wood on it.

Have you tried your local Chevy dealer to see if they can still get replacement "wood"? I'm sure if you had a 60's or 70's wagon the answer would be "no", but mid 80's, maybe there's still a roll of it around in a warehouse somewhere. Its worth a try. There may be separate part numbers for the "wood" for each fender and door, and I'm guessing it might even be pre-cut for the fender.

That's a very small yard in Hollister, Fl and they don't seem to keep things long. Not far from Palatka.

    Still lookin

    Hey Guys,
I've already tried a number of Chevy Dealerships, they thought I was joking.
The salvage yard in Hollister FL, (Holland auto parts) had a car, but its already gone.
I contacted all of the lots on "Car-Parts.com", either they were gone or the wood was shot or as with one I called about in Canada, rusted beyond repair.
Gonna try the one that K sent me in SC tomorrow, cross your fingers!

    Hey Krash,
Thanks much for your time, contacted all three of the leads, but nothing.
I didn't think when I bought this old car that finding a fender with wood on it would be such an issue.
