Howdy from SoCal. I hang out online as a cereal killer named Frank Berry. I hang out in real life in the cult car scene, and my favorite cars are station wagons. Kind of like jocks versus band geeks, and I was in the band. I own a vintage wagon that is in unrestored condition and has been garage kept for most of it's life. We show the car regularly and we tour with it in the spring and summer. I am mechanically inclined and I can drink beer with the best of them. I enjoy going to pick a part and helping scrounge the hard to find bits for my friends and fellow gearheads. Looking forward to being a contributing forum member. Regards, Frank
Welcome Frank! Big fan of your cereal! Count Chocula has nothing on you. This is a great forum with lots of cool cars and great members. Hope to see some pics up in the near future.
Personally I like Fruit Loops myself. There are many vintage wagons kept in garages. Telling us the brand, the year, what type drive train, and other details is important to keep our attention. Beeing a beer drinkin shadetree mechanic is by far an important advantage here. Especially if you share the beer. Give us an idea what kinda junk you and your friends pick up at the pick a part places. Now do your part. Take pictures of your pride and joy in the garage, tell some facts about why you love wagons, and you will be that there contributing member you so want to be.
Everybody has the matchbox car. Some people even have the matchbox canoe. I have the real ones. It's a 1972 Citroen ID21F that has been collected since 1972. Fully documented from the day she was built. Just as pretty inside and under the hood as she is outside. No rust. No wrecks. A little bit different but nevertheless a D wagon. I have had the sedans and a couple of wagons, but this one is the real deal in every respect and I can't believe I own her. Christmas day, I was at an improomtu car show. Here are some pics that I just happened to take while I was there: Yep. I think wagons are special.
Welcome, Frank. Former Orange Countyite here.... Interested to hear what your favorite Pick-A-Part places are. Marshall
No real favorites to speak of. Except for U and I in San Berdoo. Very cool people there and lots and lots of old cars.
Welcome aboard. (Cinamon Toast Crunch is my favorite breakfast cereal since we're on the subject.) You're holding out on us. A vintage wagon, but no details yet on what it is or what vintage? We can't stand the suspense. Are you gonna make us guess? Maybe an early Subaru? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzvmPpXTAqM&feature=youtu.be Don't miss the part in the promotional film where they call their own cars "cheap and ugly"? Theres probably some of those early wagons still lying around in California.
Warm oatmeal with cranberries, cinnamon, brown sugar and a little milk...mm good. Cars, dogs, afew cats and FOOD that's whats going on here... Fnberry
No pics yet. Blame it on the moderators. There are pics online but I would rather post my own because mine are cooler. I do have a dog and a cat and I literally bought my pickup truck because the dog would fit in it easily. He answers to Horse if that tells you anything. And the horse is not allowed in the wagon.
When I was little, my babysitter had a Kingswood from Selman in Orange. She also had a German Shepherd dog named German. Her last name was Shepherd. I am on my third German Shepherd rescue, and when he is gone, I will get another one. Thanks for the warm welcome.
Sharp is an understatement but thank you. It is the real deal, bar none in the Citroen world, and she packs the pedigree to back it up. I would really like to change the AM radio sound system but I will not.
