Dan, I was at the Concours and saw that beautiful Caballero at the end of the show. Y'all certainly did a great job on its resto! The car that's taken alot of my time over the years (and why I'm just now starting on the '66 CSedan) is my '57 Roadmaster Riviera, which you probably know from the AACA Forums. Larger, shown in front of a friend's garage here in town. Again, great work on the Cab, TG
Probably the finest '57 Riveria Sedan anywhere I appreciate your comments, I have befriended you on AACA, and admire that Roadmaster of yours. It shows all your hard work. And I want to thank you for making all the factory and dealer data you have collected available to the forums. Dan
Wow, these are some beautiful Buicks! That convertible has to be so much fun putting the top down and finding a Sonic Burger to drive into!
I had made a comment in some other post sometime back about Buick and probably Olds as well..) having 2 different 4-door hardtop designs for '57 (and '58 as well?) Auto makers talk about how expensive it is nowadays to tool up to produce a new body, and here way back in '57 Buick had tooling to produce 10 different body styles! - 2 door sedan, 122" wb (Special) - 4 door sedan, 122"wb (Special) - 2 door hardtop, 122" wb (Century & Special) - 4 door hardtop, 122" wb (Century & Special) - Convertible, 122" wb (Century & Special?) - 4 door 'post' wagon, 122" wb (Special) - 4 door hardtop wagon 122" wb (Century Caballero) 2 door hardtop, 127 1/2" wb (Roadmaster & Super) 4 door hardtop, 127 1/2" wb, (Roadmaster & Super) convertible, 127 1/2" wb, (Roadmaster & Super)
Ok Krash, The forum wants more, so here goes #2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...9190665?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item45fee56809 P.S. I was born in Springfield. Springfield, Colorado that is. - Dan
I just hope Tedy doesn't see this...there really is no more room in his driveway...maybe Rev will let him keep it at his place?
Summer Car Show at Local Dealer - with wagons. Once again the forum asks me to write something. Well for me the most recent wagon interest was a car show at King Buick/GMC in Loveland, CO. I have photos of the interesting wagons there. I know the history of only two and suspect; the newest one was a clone but very well done. See thumbnails. This Summer the show will include GMC trucks. Oops, I believe that is a 1960 wagon. Dan
Stormin' Norman: Of course they have two tone horns, they are all Buicks. Each pair have sequencial part numbers and differ from Roadmaster to Special.
