Well, Rev...you and I joke with one another and throw barbs, but, seriously, that is one nice rig! What a great find. I know you have some nice stuff sitting in your yard but this one has to be right up there near the top of the heap. Nice score, pal! And Cat's right, the GF's a keeper! :thumbs2:

Wow Rev, what a find. I absolutely love that Squire and it's in such unbelievably great shape. Plastic still on the seats; how cool is that? I'll bet you got quite a few lookers and admirers at the show that night and deservedly so. I'm surprised you let it sit for so long before adopting it. Best of luck. Gorgeous car.

That is exactly like the one me dad bought in '67 or so. One of the 2 Country Squires he and my mother toted their 10 kids to Minnesota in (re: my introduction) The other being a lt. blue Met. '67. I was tasked with painting fresh 'stripes on the panel and fulling in chips using Testors enamels and a brush. Man did I like that car eben tho I was usually busting my knee caps against my brother and sisters' in those rear seats.
I may need to wrestle that away from you some day,... wanna trade for a '90 Buick,
    Ha Ha!!!!

    Lucky dog! Congrats.

That's a beautiful classic. I'm not very familiar with the old Ford wagons (I'm more of a GM man), but she's a beauty. I couldn't help but notice the back seats. From your picture, it looks like there are 2 sets of 3rd row seats that face each other. Is that the case? I'm familiar with the old full-sized GM wagons that have one 3rd row seat (most of them rear-facing), but I've never seen anything like what you've got in that Country Squire. I'd be interested to get a closer look at that interior if you can find the time to snap another picture or two. Thanks!

Go to the Ford galleries on here:
    http://stationwagonforums.com/forums/gallery/browseimages.php?c=13

Ford used those side facing seats (for 4 little bodies) from '65 until the true full sized LTDs were replaced in '79 by the downsized platform.
