Just thought I would post some nice old 67 & 68 AMC Ambasador & Rebel station wagon brochure photos. Note the shifter and tach !!! Some dash photos could be out of sedans. Hope you enjoy them as you just don't see these wagons ,

Thanks 4spd; AMC did make some nice looking wagons.
It always makes me laugh when the manufacturers used to show their cars in snow country and they never had snow tires on them. I love my Colony Park, but believe me, it does not do well in snow at all, with or without snow tires! That being said, I don't remember any commercials showing the wagons driving in snow; not surprising as they'd most likely be fish tailing and "slip sliding" away.

I just read some of the brochure copy that was in one of the pics. Apparently back in '67, AMC didn't have a '2-way' tailgate. The ad copy says you could have either a normal drop-down tailgate or a side opening gate - "your choice - no difference in price.." (3-seaters came standard with the side-opening unit).

When I think AMC, I usually think of outlandish designs, but this shows that they could build a hell of a good wagon for the John Everyman.

As long as we are on a '67 AMC kick, I thought I would show the accessory brouchure.
