    Hi everyone,

I registered here a few weeks ago, but didn´t get around, to say hello to the forum:oops:,sorry.

My name is Dietmar and i´m kind of looking for a nice wagon as a summer cruiser. Preferable something GM build and between 1965-1969.

The other rides are a 1953 GMC pickup, which i bought last year for my wife´s birthday, instead of chocolate..., still needs a fair bit of work, to get on the road; the next one, the nick says it, a 1967 El Camino, that is a fun car to drive and also comes handy, when you pop into a hardware store;).
Last but not least, a winter/daily work horse, a 525 IX Beamer, as we tend, to get some serious snow each year,up to ~3feet.
    (I do have a wagon, i just realize:eek:)
I´m wrenchin´,since i´m 15 years old, cause my father used to be a motor mechanic all his life. Gladly picked up a lot of useful information, and still do.

I live very close to the border to Austria, South Bavaria, a beautiful part of Germany, even though our summer seems to be wet each year.

Hopefully you all don´t get to upset, with dump questions, which i might ask, once i found the "perfect" land yacht:)

Hi, I've been to your neck of the woods.
I was visiting my sister who lived in Neckargemund at the time, and we took a trip through that area to Garmisch and Oberammergau. Fantastic area.
Ha, as a matter of fact, my wife's maiden name is Clavadetscher.

    Good luck on your search!

    Thanks, for the warm welcome.:tiphat:

Seems to be a great source with tons of infos here:yahoo:.
What have we done years ago, before this great invention, called the internet, came along??
Now it´s so easy, to get to know people, with the same interests, and exchange useful information.
I´ve added a few pictures of my current daily, nothing special here, but good to be used/abused...

There´s a wagon out there somewhere, just waiting to be picked up from me and get a good and cozy new home;)

Welcome to the board, and nice BMW!

Remember, not all wagons need to be "land yachts!" :)

I have plenty of love for smaller, four-wheel-drive, go-anywhere, do-all wagons myself!

    Truckin´

    Hi 1982caprice,

I bought this GMC last year in Salem, Oregon, for my wife, as a birthday present.
Man that was a surprise and success too:dance:.
Right during the party, she opened the little box, with a die cast white 1950 GMC model, which i customized a bit; after a few minutes admiring the cute
truck, i told her, to wait about two weeks, and than the real thing will show up on your doorstep:yahoo::yahoo:

Her it is, but i´m at it right now, to bring him back on the road, hopefully next spring or so...
