Can anybody recommend a touch up spray paint close to factory color? I was looking at duplicolor but it doesn't appear to be the factory match that i found online at paintscratch.com.

Duplicolor has a "cashmere beige " but the paintscratch.com site has my color as "light chestnut metallic"

Matching old paint and new paint is hard to do. Check the color code on the plate or sticker. Unless your car has been painted, this is the place to start.

Just teasing. I find that many of those matching colors don't really match. Due to fading and age it is sometimes impossible to do a perfect match.

The identification sticker had the 8575 code which appears to be the "light chestnut metallic " on the website i found. Going through duplicolor, rustoleom, and other paint sites, i didn't find anything that was a "match. "

thanks. it'll definitely keep me occupied. it's cool to see what was available new

i did come across that site and they have the actual color. with the cost to get it and the shipping, i'm going to see if a auto paint supply place near me can mix up an aerosol can. thanks

Paint scratch can match by aging your VIN (if original paint) and can supply paint pens, bottles or spray cans. Matching by paint numbers has proven NOT to be a good method to match. These guys have beaten every other company according to MANY car people that have tried many methods of other companies. There are scads of documentation. I have never used them, YET, but have one aquaintance that did and the match was right on while Duplicolor and other matching companies failed.

You should be able to go down to your local auto body supplier and get WHATEVER color you want mixed and put into rattle cans. As long as you have your color code they can mix it no problem. I touched up some surface rust spots on the bottom of a couple my doors last year and had the exact color mixed and put into a rattle can for about $25.00

spoke with the auto paint supply place. They said approx $36 for a 16oz can. Paintscratch.com has a 12.5oz can for 24.95. Between shipping costs and my need for instant gratification, i'll prob get it local.
