I wish it was worth that much. If anybody wants to give me $10,000 for it I would be more than happy to accept your offer. :) Anyways, the kia will be getting a radiator flush, new gas cap, and a new engine air filter tomorrow. I'll be doing myself... Saving about $60.

After reading the first couple posts, it sounds like it need to go to the Demo Derby in the fall!

You can trade it to some guy for his Derby wagon!

I'm not even sure if they can remember where the drain plug is or what it looks like for the radiator and god knows no one on the frickin Kia forums has a clue or if they do they won't tell you!!! Fr-uit-ca-ke!!!:taz: Oh but I am not giving up on this thing. Its 100% outside I'm covered in grease and I'm successfully both stubborn and patient. THIS CAR WILL GET FIXED AND I WILL FIX IT!!!:floor_jack:

Is there a Phillips head plug on the very bottom of that radiator?

VICTORY! I just found it. Yeah its a phillips. I had to take off 3 separate splash guards to find it. Its draining now. The fluid looks really old. I also found that my radiator cap was blocked from going on all the way. I now have a tightly sealing radiator cap. What took so long is the researching for it location. Some said it was on the left, some said the right. I found one person saying that it didn't have one at all, that you had to disassemble all this stuff and pull it out of the car to drain it.

Well, I don't know if I did something wrong or what, but it is still getting hot enough to make the fluid boil. I put a brand new radiator cap on it. I know that it still needs a new thermostat but that wouldn't make it actually overheat. I'm wondering if I got the mixture wrong. So I am going to drain it again and adjust it if necessary. If that doesn't work than we are goring to try this antifreeze/coolant made specifically for asian cars.

Am I understanding you to say that a bad thermostat won't cause a car to overheat??

Would It? I just thought it wouldn't. If that thing is what has been making my car actually overheat the last few days rather than just thinking it was then I would be more than happy to fix that problem... although depending on the price of one dictates if I have to wait till next payday to get one... all I know is that for the last few, well several days the car has been heating up enough to actually boil in the radiator. Here in couple of minutes I will be going out to drain the radiator again... I'm still learning so any new information is greatly appreciated.

Xav...if the thermostat is bad and sticks closed it will overheat the car in no time because it isn't allowing the coolant to circulate. Did someone in the know tell you the thermostat's bad? If so, replace it...it could be your whole overheating problem. They are CHEAP. And, if you have already filled it with the proper amount of new coolant...don't bother doing it again. Unless there is something I don't know about regarding "Asian Coolant"??? Sounds like a scam to me. Never heard of it. Replace the thermostat with a new one. Get one with the temperature recommended for your car.

That is awesome!. :yahoo: I am going to find out what kind I need. I still need to check my coolant mixture because I'v lost some fluid since I put it in.

    Thank You
