    Hey ya guys,
    this is my intro,
Im a 41 year old man from Holland. i have a wife and two daughters.
i work in a rehabilitation project for ex convicts, i do that for about twelve years now.
i was always intressted in some parts of american culture.
i love rockabilly, blues and country.
im very intressted in the old fashioned american denim culture ( wrangler, Lee and Levis) i only wear dry denims.
the thing i always loved but never thought i would own was an american car.

we owened several wagons. it started with a renault laguna, the a skoda octavia, a ford mondeo and our last one was the latest mondeo....
that one costed us a lot of money.....
the quetion that my wife ask me one day was, is this what you dreamt of?...and my answer was no
you know that i dream about an pick up or an us family car...
too make a long story short..
we sold the mondeo, bougt a smaller ford focus ( i love fords) and start looking for a us wagon.
is have driven quiet some cars now from the suburban, caprice, impala and ran torino...and the last one i drove was a Mercury colony Park (83)
i fell in love from the moment i drove the first meters, everything was fallin in place. this was the one i had been lookin for!
my wife and the kids also liked it so the search ended and now we are waitin for it too arrive. it will be 5 weeks or so. there has to be a LPG instalation build in, new wood on the sides, new windsield, new front tires, new exaust and they have too do a little paint job on the bottem.
we are planning to take the car for our vacation to france...i cant wait too drive this yacht thougt the beautiful france landscape with the V8 grunting under the hood..

i already orderd the Hynes service book...but hope i want need it too often of cause..

    greeting from a Holland:tiphat:

    Barry

:Welcome:to the wagon train, Barry. Looks like you found what you were looking for.(y) Glad you found us, too.
Have to tell you that the Haynes service books are notorious for being inadequate and inaccurate. Go to eBay and buy a set of used Factory Shop Manuals for your specific car. Some come as one book and others as a set depending on the year and model. Most have more than one book in a set. You will be VERY glad to have the FSM for your car. You will know that all the info is 100% accurate right from the factory. The books were created specifically for the shop mechanics.

    Welcome aboard, Barry.

Like Fox already wrote; leave those haynes where they are and do yourself and your wagon a big favor by getting the factory manuals.
Where from The Netherlands are you??
