Here's a picture of that used windshield. It was sitting at a wrecking yard since 1985 and it only cost $75.

Also, here's a pic of the tailgate open as a door. When I got the car the tailgate would only fold down.

Glad to hear it's a winner, tiger!:thumbs2: Repainting the rockers below the wood is no big deal. As far as the other cosmetics go.....from what I see of that wagon.....it looks great from here!:yup: But it's a GOOD thing to be a perfectionist. Especially when you have an old wagon as nice as yours.:D It pays to search and wait for the right one like you did, too.....you waited, searched and got the beauty you were looking and hoping for.

WOW, I did not see this thread. That is one awesome '72 Country Squire. I LOVE that front end, such a neat look. Makes me miss my '77 Country Squire even more:

And the model I am building, a '70 Country Squire. The wheel covers will be the '71 to '72 Ford style once I find them.

What a beaut! Those Squires are well-built machines. I sure miss my Mom's LTD!

Thanks Rev! It's been too long. Sometimes life draws us away from the things and places we love!
