Here's a picture of that used windshield. It was sitting at a wrecking yard since 1985 and it only cost $75. Also, here's a pic of the tailgate open as a door. When I got the car the tailgate would only fold down.
Glad to hear it's a winner, tiger! Repainting the rockers below the wood is no big deal. As far as the other cosmetics go.....from what I see of that wagon.....it looks great from here! But it's a GOOD thing to be a perfectionist. Especially when you have an old wagon as nice as yours. It pays to search and wait for the right one like you did, too.....you waited, searched and got the beauty you were looking and hoping for.
WOW, I did not see this thread. That is one awesome '72 Country Squire. I LOVE that front end, such a neat look. Makes me miss my '77 Country Squire even more: And the model I am building, a '70 Country Squire. The wheel covers will be the '71 to '72 Ford style once I find them.
