Those people...their lives...their homes...their towns...everything...the Nuclear plant... My thoughts, prayers and tears are for these people...can't even begin to imagine what their life will be like after this.. This is going to change things...we are the generation of huge changes aren't we?
It's hard to imagine, even after seeing pictures and vidios. My heart goes out to the country. I saw 30 seconds of this on the news yasterday AM, vidio of the wall of water starting and speading over land taking everything in it's path. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3M7fiFep7WA
No words to describe the devistation on this one. This is going to get much worse as the toll adds up.....
We were watching as a wall of water swept in around a building, up to the second story, and all the cars and trucks, and then big big boats, and in amongst all the crap in the water was a whole bunch of people struggling. You just know............. How very sad. And heartbreaking to see.
Its almost hard to believe the video isn't from Hollywood.......I find myself having to remind myself this is real and in real time. Its awful to watch. Even with the heavy duty preparation the Japanese people have done for this kind of disaster, the loss of life will be huge. As Fannie said, we do seem to be a generation of change.
they didn't have much time. i happen to close to there main land, shutting some system down and the wave was clock at 700+mph.. this is why, i like living in the state I'm in. if a wave could reach me .i would have more things to worry about than water
I just watched King 5 news from Seattle, Creston California was hit by tsunami waves http://www.star-telegram.com/2011/03/12/2917326/california-hawaii-assessing-damage.html
I tried to watch some on TV last night, CNN, but all they had was a bunch of talking heads blathering on endlessly with useless information, rather than show us what is happening. It's at times like this when I realize just how valuable the internet has become for research and getting in to the thick of things. I see where Google has opened an area set up so families can track each other in Japan. A great idea that with some fine tuning will become an ongoing invaluable site for areas struck by disaster.
I agree 100% about CNN...useless! I've gotton more info in 10 minutes jumping from local news, seatlle local news, and Canada AM compared to 1 hour of CNN all chat bs 24/7
Yes,local and FOX for me. Anyway, imagine a 30-40 ft TALL wall of water heading towards you...oh my. All you might ahve time for is to make yourself right with God...and your gone.... Scary. My prayers and thoughts go out those poor people.
