Yah it's been weird. We've had above freezing temps here for almost a week now, but it's supposed to drop back down soon.
Same here as Andy describes. It's 50 here now and supposed to go to 55 today. Been real warm for about a week now after the 25F below days. A LOT of the tons of snow we got is gone. BUT...it will drop again. Count on it. Hey BB...I'm going in for another slice & dice today....I will keep my eyes open for Robins. They came early here last year.
Gotta be;I drove to Jackson today to do a job and the road kill is already starting to pile up;skunks;possum;and a couple of cats.No bambi's as yet;they are probably still caring for the fawns.Have seen a few of them grazing a couple miles from here but none in the neighborhood yet(we're right on the city limits line).
My honey and I also saw a Robin in our back yard this past weekend. Weather for the most part is normal here on the rock. Feb and March give us nasty cold mornings. Pure ice this past monday AM and frost every morning since
I had 30-40 Robins in my yard a couple weeks ago. My wife and I couldn't believe it!! Today, I saw a few Robins and it was 62 degrees.
Zero a few weeks ago, 75 yesterday. The Robins we are seeing in early spring are often flocks that are on their way north. The "breeders" in our area will follow a bit later. February is always the month I start listening for the Cardinals to start singing. Also the time the 4-5 pairs I get at the winter feeders start getting pissy with one another and start marking out their breeding territories. Thus the singing! Been hearing them for a week or so now.
Yes Robins here too, 66 * at 5:10pm, but they get run over by the squirrels wear cut-off jeans. And tank tops
OMG , Them bushy tail crittewrz iz PG this time ah year ain't they Fat squirrelz in cut offz 'n tank topz WE NEED PIX
4 robins today all at the same time, I'm still looking at one on a branch as I type. Man is it nice and sunny out, not a cloud in the sky. It's spring enouph for me today, I'm gona go and flash up the Crewzer that has been in hibernation in my barn and look into collector plates, give the Buick and my honey's van a in and out clean and polish and let the dogs hang out in the front with me.
