ANYBODY been up there yet? This is an update from CHEVELLES.COM

"I called yesterday and the bad news is they started crushing about 3 weeks ago.The good new is that most of the cars 1965 and newer cars are kept in another yard and are safe from the crusher.I asked the guy if there were any HEMI's back there and he said yes, there is one in an old Desoto. My guess would be that if he still has a Hemi back there that there is alot of good parts and engines waiting for someone to buy them up.I talked to a few guys and tried to get a crew together to go out there but no one wants to work in the snow."

I replied if anybody knows if any pre-1965 stuff was moved. I have read that business has picked up, tons of parts sold and I hear several WHOLE cars sold. ANYBODY ABLE TO CONFIRM THIS OR GET PICS?

So far, I hear about 700-1000 cars are left in that particular yard.

Greed and government (not that there's a lot of difference much of the time,) combined with pig-headedness and stupidity never has a good outcome, and too many valuable cars and parts have been the result, along with countless other things of varying description, automotive and not, over the years. I've been told that Pennsylvania is especially moronic about salvage yards. Very strange considering it's an epicenter of the hobby.

Were I not completely broke and had some space, a lot of that stuff would be coming home with me I suspect, or I'd at least be bringing shopping lists for others.

Those who can act, please do. Automotive enthusiasts everywhere count on you to do so.
