Agreed, all references to PIT are really just conjecture. It seemed a little strange that both the front end and the drivers rear side were both damaged. That lends some small credence to the possibility of a PIT Maneuver. A PIT Maneuver, if it was performed in the method that the officer was trained, consists of a gentle push to the rear quarter of the vehicle so that it spins out of control. Assuming for a moment that this vehicle was stopped using a PIT, there most likely would have been equivalent damage to the police interceptor, meaning the maneuver was improperly performed. As sad as it is, that cops get handicapped in this way, the idea is to safely stop the car without harming anyone or damaging the cruiser and having to listen to the taxpayers complain about the repairs. It's bad enough that they aren't allowed to chase the crooks anymore, now we have to tell them to stop the criminals without hurting the crooks, the crooks property, bystanders property, the police vehicle, etc, etc.

From what I see of the damage. There is rubber tire marks on the dogleg in front of the wheel.
The car can be fixed with a big heart. But I suspect the frame and floor are damaged from the extent of front end damage. That is what happened to my 81 Carravelle RWD car.
I read what the fella said about fixing it or another car. He is in his 70's and physically cannot do it anymore. Just drive to shows.
There is too much damage to the left 1/4 for a pit. That looks like they clipped a vehicle. PIT's usually do not do that type of damage unless run into.
We do not have details of the way it got damaged.

On a further note I sold a 65 Pontiac Laurentian Wagon to a fella in Calgary, Had it in storage til he had enogh for a shop to do the car. It was rust free, but parked for 20 years.
Anyways it too got stolen and still has not been found since last fall. If anyone sees it. Let Calgary police know. Lt blue in color and was a V8 car with auto. It cannot be plated in ALberta since reported stolen, but can still be plated other provinces. It most likely got stolen for all the chrome grill which are hard to find intact.
