now, im trying to see here.. some of the differences between canada and the usa here. someone mentioned that you can't tow a car in canada... you have to pay a towing co? is this true? explain?
canada is similar to the usof a, different provinces have different rules,. remember canada is bigger, and we're on top so that makes america canada's bitch,. Nick
i dont know nick, from what cyber wizard says it sounds like our worst emissions testing is nowhere near as bad as Ontario! here in Pa...they have no right to take your personal property or your license if your car fails inspection...actually if it fails...you can drive it for 30 days till you have to inspect/test again! some states like florida have no inspection. or emissions. really ...someone else can rat you out to the ministry of environment? thats very fascist. puts me in mind of the Judenrat from WW2 (these were jewish people that were used by the Nazi's to help rat out and exterminate their fellow man.). I have had it up to here with the enviro-movement! its time to start fighting back
well the emissions nazi was wrong in telling cyber that he could impound the car,. It,s not like that at all ,. Nick
The Ministry of the Environment has set up a web page for people to report when and where they saw a smoking vehicle. I'm not sure what the ramifications are of being reported, but they certainly are trying to give people the opportunity to report others. http://www.ene.gov.on.ca/en/air/driveclean/report.php
wow. That really sucks. I wonder if some people would still turn you in if you were gonna get the firing squad? The wiz's posts were bad enough and now we have people turning other people in. If you did that in my day and were found out....trust me, you would never do it again.
same as some of the US states...you can report 'smoking cars' or one of those old school tow bars...but again...its the same as most US states. As for emission guidlines...ours in BC..are the same as Cali but Cali has waaay more specialty plate categories than BC
There are no emission tests or any kind of inspections for plated cars in my province. If you try to plate a car that has not been plated for more than a year or if it comes from outside of the province, it will need to pass a mechanical inspection.
most of us car guys here in the states are about ready to relocate steve (tbirdsps) and marshal's daughter and saw that political hell hole off of the rest of the country! let the environmentalist weenees have their own little utopia. we can put our emmissions and cafe standards back to reasonable levels... then we can go rescue them when people start starving because they have regulated themselves out of existence!!!
The kaybec emissions nazi's have a buddy of mines car in limbo,. he has a mustang that he pulled the v6 out and put in a v8,. Kaybec doesn't recognize engine swaps? so they won't let it get registered,.because it can't pass emissions designed for a v6, He moved to the valleyfield area from ontario,. Nick
