I emailed the guy about the T&C, because it is very close by, and looks just like my Uncle Mac's from back when I was a kid.
Might just have to have it!

The Mopar looks straight and judging by the patina, I'm guessing from a desert climate all its life or the majority. too bad about the side damage on the Kingswood, otherwise that'd be a super wagon.

 

Love the look of that Mopar,would be an awesome highway cruiser

 

I've thought about going to look at it. I'm not a big Mopar fan but this thing is a barge. I showed it to the hubby, and he liked it. I just can't justify another project.

 

I love the style of those 70's T&C's. I like that color on them, too. Although, I would prefer the dark brown leather look with that color. The one thing that this car does not appear to have is.....rust.

 

So, go get it!!!

Looks like a lot of Chryco to work with. Lucky for my neighbours that it's not close to me or it'd be in this driveway Then again, so would that sweet Kingswood, can't be afraid of a lil bodywork

 

It started a loooooooooong time ago.
But the jokes on the neighbors, their 401ks went south and our classic iron went up.

 

Well....I may get flamed here but.......
$1500 sounds cheap for that T&C....but....it WILL take a lot of money to bring it back if that's what one wants to do. Needs upholstery, woodgrain, dents fixed and, most importantly to me, it will need the engine yanked and gone through BEFORE starting it. The car is sitting in a yard where they do stone work, plaster work etc and you can see the grind dust sitting all over the engine. This is some of the worst stuff around to get in an engine. I love these behemoths but this one will take a lot of money to bring it back to its original glory IMHO. Well worth it if you have the money.

 

I agree with you on the cosmetics, but I don't think they do stone work. It looks to me like it's at a truck repair place (notice the Garland ambulance in the back ground). There's also a trucking company or truck stop in the other background. We see that kinda dusk build up on cars that have sat here in Texas, nothing a water hose and some oven cleaner won't get rid of. There's alot of these kind of companies in BS.

 

Well, that would make a difference to me then if I was in the market. I saw that stucco/plaster/stone truck sitting next to the wagon and thought the wagon was sitting in that work place yard. If the 440 is a runner....that would make a difference for sure.
