What car companies still makes the station wagon? I believe Dodge quit making the Magnum, and Ford no longer makes the Focus wagon. Just curious.

Add Mercedes, Kia and I would consider Ford Flex a wagon.

Here in Europe, all manufacturers (including the asians) are making stations and I would almost say that they are more popular then ever. As fuel consumption (and weight) is of great consern here, minivans have never been really popular, just as SUV's. Yes, you see them a lot here, but in numbers not comparable to wagons. A lot of space for family and stuff without the penalty of extra fuel consumption or road tax!
Actually, similar arguments as they became popular BITD. :thumbs2:

You know they've tinkered around with avoiding the Station Wagon name, because they were flogged with Big A$$ gas guzzler reputations. Nowadays, if you can find a decent 1950s -1960s Exner Mopar wagon, you're rich. Now what about taking one of those and dropping in a 300 HP 4-banger with a Turbo? Style, same power range, less frontend weight and built to run a train off the rails, for 25% of the fuel usage.

I know what you mean Fox. Some of the new engines are starting to look real interesting - scares the bejabbers out of me though to think about swapping one of them into the ol '57.

Yeah, some of the newer engines are more than impresive......but holy crap complicted. Crist, evin my teens all you had to wory about was "spark" and "fuil", and the od drive shat length. Now you have the thing a ma bod for "wha?" sensor so the "WTF is that sensor" will not flash a lite in the dash letting you know that another sensor for the sencor that feeds all sensors needs a $2 part that will get you for $8Kazzilion dollars in labour for the repair because your engine and half of your others car engine needs to be taken apart ....for the $2 part.............

caddy is the only one who has the cajones to actually call it a wagon!

mike, have you looked at the engine lineup for the new F150? 2 V6's(3.7 and 3.7 turbo) and 2 v8's (5.0 and 6.2). the lowest hp output of all of them is 300 hp!!!
but alas....no stick shift!!! the ford 4.2 soured me to "v" 6's. the 300 inline was a great motor...good enough ford offered it in 3/4 tons too! and ford followed it with a ****ty v6 motor that blows oil at 150k! im sure the 3.7 is gonna be great but i cant bring myself to drive a pickup with a 6 that isn't a stick shift! (i did once....an 84 dodge ram...slant 6 and a 727TF auto....but damnit....that was a tourque flight! the best auto ever made!!!!)
