Newbie from Johnson City, Tn! With a 1966 Ford Country Squire Wagon

    I think your first theory is on the right track. I have a '66 Ford Accessories catalog that shows two different versions of the wheel cover, and they have different centers. There's not enough definition in the small B+W image to show different finish, but I think you're right. I do remember reading something in Ford lit about the finish, but i looked for it tonight and couldn't find it. I'll try to get a couple of pics tomorrow.

    My brother had a very nice '66 Belvedere wagon that got destroyed by a couple of goons with bats and sledgehammers one sad night. The goons were squatting on an out-of-state farm a friend owned, and when my brother and his friend tried to run them off, they went goofy. My brother and his friend, in a panic escape, slid the wagon into a ditch on a gravel road and had to abandon it and run for their lives. The goons went nuts on the wagon and totaled it.
