I have posted about this car on here in the last few weeks, but need some advice on the frame repair. Has any one repaired or replaced part of the frame on one before? If so please let me know what I am in for. I have attached a few more pic of the car, tell me if she is worth saving. :slap:

Well, Fatbug, you're only going to get a pretty biased opinion here on this board - pretty much any wagon is worth saving.

As to your '67 Country Sedan, it looks very nice - on the outside. We would need a lot more pics to give you a trustworthy opinion. You mention a rusted frame. I'd suggest posting up some more info and pics so that we can help you out....

-- Are you going to do these repairs yourself?
    -- What's your skill level?
-- Where's the frame rusted, and how bad (pics needed)?
-- How are the floor pans?
    -- How's the wagon mechanically?
-- If the frame's pretty bad, what you might want to consider is buying a parts wagon with a good frame. Arizona and California are good sources for these.

    Good luck with your project.

Have had friends on the look out for a parts car or frame, with no luck. As for inside it is in great shape for its age, only bad area is the drivers seat. The floors are in good shape and that is a suprise to me, because of what the outer frame rails look like. Car runs and drives great, the frontend was rebuilt on the car last year. Car has 289ci with auto trans, shifts out fine. Last owner also put new fuel tank in car 2yr ago. Car came as you see it, I am the 3rd owner and have all the books and records for the car, org. Car came with no options, no radio, no power, no air no nothing, only thing it has is power steering. As for repairs, I will be doing most of them myself, I have been redoing cars for the last 20yr as a hobby and know my way around about any problem. I have never had to repair a frame though and would like to make sure it is done correct. I could most likely patch the frame and just drive it, but was wanting to do a motor transplant and would have to beef up the frame for that. As is, would not trust just running patch work and putting in the new motor. I have been thing about just repairing the area and driving it until I come across a good frame. I don't have very much money in the car now, so I can wait it out. I was thinking about turning the car, but like it too much now and would like to make her a resto mod insted. Keep the look on the out side, but put a higher hp motor and trans in it. Just wanted to know if anyone has come across this problem with the frame in there wagon and what they did and who they used or maybe where I could find a good frame or parts car. Thanks to everyone and any input would be great.

That you are right, Sir!! I like the old girl and have read up on the 67's. Seems that it might have been a low production year for the Squire Wagon, as quote "Hemmings Motor News Oct 1 2006".

I have a 71 with frame "issues". I patched the front by the kick up on the passenger side and have to replace parts on the rear, just gonna fab up some rails and weld em on, just enough to make the car driveable (the car is just for fun and not a daily driver). Ultimately I will put an aftermarket frame under it but no time soon. Your car looks good, so did mine, so be ready anything when you dig in. Stuff can just get more involved than you were counting on. EX; some rust on the firewall near frame patch turned into major floor repairs and fabricating a new body mount onto the body where firewall meets floor.

I say have at it but go into it with a sense of humor, you're gonna need it!

Thanks, for the info. I think I might have found a frame, but it is in Az. Not sure how I would get it, because they want 1600.00 for shipping alone witch is double the price of the frame. Might just have to bite the bullet and drive there to get it. I sure would like to find one closer though. As for rust under the car, I have been checking , when I was at home, with a pick and have only found 4 small, dime size, holes in the pans and none anywhere else. Hope it's that way when I go to replace or repair the frame. Thanks for all the info and what and where to look for more rust. Keep the advice comming!!!

    Is it worth savig?
    Um... yes!
Like the Rev said, easy enough to put it on a hoist and "reinfoce" the frame.
