yup. Jealous that I am not closer. I don't need anything, I would just go and eat my lunch there. Must be cool IF I needed something, cause there would be a high probability that I might find it. Dave
Whoa. The place looks HUGE!! If they don't have it, you might as well give up, I would think. I'm with 1967, I could spend a whole weekend there just looking.
Ha! A weekend in that yard maybe, but you'd get sidetracked with what famers park at their fences through there. Its like a car museum of every thing that had wheels! It seems that they keep every vehicle they ever owned in the family, since great-grandad died. Some of the old tractor trailers are awesome! I've never driven a big machine, but have driven some big tow-trucks and cranes in our old family wrecking business. Ours were junk compared to what they park, and cars and wagons. Take a month. Gorgeous countryside, different terrain and excellent highways. June/July/August/early September. Too cold or too wet at other times.
We'd need a private greyhound for the cook's tour of SD and ND backroads. If you've never been, do a drive to BC via North or South Dakota and Montana. There's nothing like the black hills, not even North in Saskatchewan or Alberta. Awesome.
I love taking hwy 2 across the top, but I normally turn North at Shelby and cross back into Canada at Sweet Grass/ Coutts.
Only in America! There's a golf resort about 100 miles south east of Helena, Montana. No town for miles. 36 holes. What's really incredible is its a hotel built like Egyptian Pyramids. Don't know if you saw that, but that always sticks in my mind. I've toured a lot of the US and I always seem to find these businesses thriving, like a lonely cactus in the desert. The place was packed. I waited in line for lunch for 20 minutes before they could seat me. All the fairways were loaded with golfers. They know their markets.
