ever get into restoring these? I was given a running 1962 model 702 Wheel Horse Lawn Tractor. It is pretty cool. Not sure if I should restore it or hot rod it with chrome stacks and flames to pull the kids around the neighborhood. What do you guys think??

Thats a rare find. There is a website dedicated to restore antique riders and tractors might be worth checking into for parts to get it going again.

Neat stuff! Here in the Prairies, we have a weekly TV program called Prairie Farm Report. Half is dedicated to Farmers' inventions and fleets of antique tractors (like the Rev has. )

Anyway they have a Farmers Buy and Sell, and a whole bunch of neat stuff on their inventions and contraptions, and LOTS of useful links. Prairie farmers from across the US North and West watch it as well, and often list their stuff. They use these little tractors for small experimental crops and private veggie gardens on their farms.

A little update for my fellow wagon guys......if interested. I went to my Dads Bosses cycle shop and scored two stock Harley mufflers for the wheel horse for free. I think I am gonna do dual out the back like in the picture. I was gonna do stacks but my pops had a good point. If the kids are gonna drive it they may grab the hot mufflers. So Jake, (my son) and I decided out the back. Here are some pictures. We painted the easy stuff. Save the areas we need to mask off till its warm.[IMG]

I am a big fan of quiet when it is a mode of transportation that is not allowed on the road!!! We have county cops in our area and we are very good friends with a neighbor who is a county cop. But......still like to keep a low profile if ya know what I mean. BTW....here are a few last summer pics of what we had at the house. He took the kids and parents for a ride around the neighborhood. I was in the Hummer!!!! You wanna talk about turning heads!!!! The green one is the one they pull up to a front door in a stand off or Hostage situaton. And yes....that is my son and daughter in it and that is our house. Now ya know how the poor people live!!!!
