Hi, My name is Steve and I live in Boston. I am the chair of the 2008 International Station Wagon Club Convention www.iswc.us in Sturbridge Mass June 18-21. I'm bascially a Pontiac guy (I have 5) and 1 of them is a 66 Bonneville wagon with a factory 421. My modern car is a 2006 Magnum RT. I'd post a picture, but I'm not that intelligent! Maybe my kids can help me.
I guess I should thank you and your ICWS folks for leading me to this site. Great place, with great folks. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Welcome.
I am estimating 75 Wagons at this years ISWC show. We had over 20 last year in KY and 33 in Niagra Falls in 06. We are only a few years old and now we are really starting to grow. We have an excellant opportunity to grow the ISWC at this years show. I also belong to Stationwagonsnortheast@Yahoo.com and we have had 2 informal get togethers and have had 15-20 wagons show up each time from the New England states plus NY and NJ. So the interest is definately out there, so I hope that you can all try to come!
The editor of Hemmings "Classic Car Magazine" intends to be there with his Ford LTD as well. I'd bet you'll get some recognition in the magazine. I wish it wasn't sooo far away. By the way I lived in Walpole until I was 18. In some ways I miss it, but not the snow in winter and humidity in summer.
Yes, being a Pontiac guy, Rich Lentinello and I go back a few years and he was very excited to hear about the show. It's nice to have friendly people in prominant places!
Welcome Greetings from Sweden! Duuude, that is sweeeeeeeeeeeet Pontiac. Boston, hm, I bought a 1983 Ford ltd with every option you could get. For 500 dollars, but that was in 1996. And sure miss that car ALOT! Hehehehe. Cheeeeeers! Rock on! Klas
I love Boston. Have a sister living there, and spent a year there myself at Berklee College of Music.
