Does anyone have a source for station wagon load floor covering material? My 1962 F-85 wagon has a vinyl or linoleum covering on the load floor that is white with amoeba-shaped designs on it. I've been unable to find anything close. Household vinyl flooring is only available in faux wood, faux stone, or faux tile. Automotive repro houses have covering for Nomads, but no other cars that I can find. Any potential sources I can check?
I don't but I'm pretty sure (99%) that the floor covering is linoleum. It seems to me that there was something on the internet but I don't remember the source. As to matching those amoebas I'd bet that would be very difficult. While screwing off at work today I'll take a look around.
Here it is!!!! http://www.legendaryautointeriors.com/webmodules/pages/Detail.aspx?PageID=49 Download the Olds catalog, then look way down at page 29. They sell it by the yard too!
Here's another that makes vinyl automotive flooring. Maybe they sell by the yard too? http://accmats.com/
Thanks for the links, but that is not what I'm looking for. The load floor cover is basically linoleum, as you would find on your kitchen floor. It is much thicker and more rigid than the vinyl trunk mats.
Right, that's that spongy stuff for trunks. Gotcha! Some NOS carpeting and stuff: http://www.collectorsautosupply.com/query.asp?section=INTERIOR&year=62&make=Oldsmobile From here: http://www.collectorsautosupply.com/parts-lists.htm Via this parts tool: http://www.collectorsautosupply.com/query.asp?section=INTERIOR I wonder if older trailers used this material?
This site's parts links might help too. http://www.imperialclub.com/Part/Interior/CarpetingSources.htm
floor covering You can try SMS Fabrics in Oregon. They had it for my Vista ,and in the right color too.
We've got one company that makes similar vinyl sheets, but not as well outlined: http://www.armstrong.com/flooring/products/vinyl-sheet/stones-naturals/_/N-67sZ6wa
Hilarioous that no one has told you that is not the stuff that was in the car. Wow. If you are still subscribed here,. I can help. PM me. Reference thie thread by cutting and pasting the link (sio I know which thread it's about.). And no, I don't mean rubber matting from Lowe's or carpet with logos on it. Or "I don't know, but try this house flooring company" input.
Hilarious that I never looked at a GM wagon either that didn't have carpet. Joe wanted that material replaced, or I would have posted the source for the ribbed vinyl flooring used back in the fifties and sixties. Good thing you know where to get some.
