I'll get the really 'finger-freezing' stuff done today and tomorrow, but this is just a real ball-joint breaker! :banghead3:

It was nice today.. We went to a friends house to start stripping parts off a engine that we are going to swap into my truck.

Got a lot of engine compartment details done - the finger-freezing stuff. Tomorrow looks like another nice, finger-friendly cool day.

Heater box and electrical harnesses tomorrow.

I really Don't want to talk about my truck here but I hope to do some cleaning under hood before putting in my other engine.

Since we're not talking about my truck. The oven cleaner is to clean the engine since it has a lot of gunk

Since we only drive mother-truckers, here, and there aren't any mamas without the odd papa-trucker, maybe you could get mama to mix up some Love-Potion Number Nine, for that unspoken engine compartment?

Some of those Grease cleaning recipes look pretty potent, expecially that 12-mule-team Borax mix.

    12 Mules Per Gallon!?:D

You know whats really weird is that growing up in SC we could get Borax. Now we can't get it.

Here's a little secret. Borax is the coating used to make electric solar panels. It's a baked on coating.

Try your friendly hardware store or paint store. It's also used to strip old stains from hardwoods in fine furniture, and its still cheap enough.

Well, think of the guys that are just drooling to see another clean engine compartment. Would you deprive us of all that experience? :biglaugh:
