I recently bought the green 1967 Fairlane wagon (390/2V/ C6) from the Seattle area that was for sale on Craigslist, and was discussed on this forum. I am happy to have found a group with a passion for wagons. I have a 1971 Datsun 510 wagon, and sold a 1967 Galaxie wagon a year ago. I will be needing interior pieces and exterior trim for the new wagon, so if you can point me in the right direction, it will be greatly appreciated! Thanks to the moderator for setting up a great forum, and to everyone for letting me lurk and learn prior to this post. Perry
Way to go, congrats on the purchase. I see you're on the west coast, so all the old codgers on here have probably gone to bed by now.
to the wagon train, Perry. Best wishes with that new wagon of yours. If you've been lurking and reading, you probably know by now that we love to see pics of them all.
Andy, why are you putting it so delicately? Welcome Perry. If you do a Search for Fairlane on this site, you'll find a few threads with Fairlane parts links.

old codger?........OLD CODGER!!???! There are NO old codger members here. I HAD to say that....quickly......so I can get to bed.......... OH....and welcome aboard, nckzck!
I returned today from Seattle from picking up my wagon. That terrible snow storm in Portland that was on all the news......yeah......I was in the middle of it with the wagon on a trailer behind my truck. I can attest to two things: (1) Major pucker factor ensued while towing due to no tire chains on my truck, icey roads, and tractor trailer drivers moving like it was a sunny summer day, and (2) The 2512 mile trip was worth it! The wagon is far (OK very far) from perfect, but it has "Great bones". My son and I got lots of thumbs up on the drive back to California. Pictures to follow as soon as I get it off the trailer.
2512 mile TRIP??? That's impressive, NZ! I feel for you on that trip and can relate to the truck drivers. When I picked up my wagon I drove back the first night in a blinding rain storm and the truckers were flying by me like I was parked! Had to be seriously scary in the slippery snow. Good job....can't wait to see some pix!
Ah yes the pucker factor. My dad and I helped a buddy tow a VW bug in a snow blizzard. I was driving the motorless, heaterless bug on the end of a 40 foot chain, window open, ice scraper working the inside and outside of the windshield, and using hand signals to my dad pulling me along at 60 MPH for 180 miles! He was laughing his a$$ off all the way, with his buddy chuckling along at how they conned me into doing it. Good for you. Glad you both made it home!
ahhh yes...The I5... ...it has its share of 'pucker' moments without snow glad ya made it home in 1 piece
Wow Perry, you must be a truly committed wagon lover to drive 2500 miles to get your Fairlane. Welcome aboard. We've quite a few Torino/Fairlane owners so I think you'll feel right at home here. As I recall, that '67 looked pretty good from the pictures. I'm glad it found its way to a good home.
