If he’s taking it on a date. No way! Let him drive the small cab truck.

My wagons were always backed in, gate down and a sleeping bag were the way to go except when I had my 67 Rebel, then the front seats were folded down and we sat against the rear seat back.

I'm champing at the bit to do exactly that, with either Roger or the Burb, my air mattress, pillows and a blanket (although Spring through Fall, the nights do not get cooled), and I'd love to have a gal pal date.

Hopefully the local drive in will get Mission Impossible 7 this summer then I'll book a date with the wife on a weekend that neither of us are working.

Unfortunately our last remaining local drive-in theatre was torn down in the early 2000's.

The land just became too valuable. The owners decided to retire and sell out. The end of an era.

Sad to say, it's true. The only time I saw a good use of land was the Puget Park, that was in South Everett. Half the property became an ER clinic, which I thought Everett needed. The other half did become apartments, though.

Little update on the intake. My buddy sent me a few photos of his progress. He got the spacer made and has painted the intake.

He said in his message “I’m no Rob Ross, but I saw him on TV once”

He plans to have the carb on it today. Looking forward to seeing how it looks all together.

That spacer is very well done. And the radiusing of the intake bores is a very nice touch, the first time I've seen someone do that. I can't wait to see what it looks like mocked up.
