That's a neat ad - I bet Bill Mercman would like that!

Yeah, but it's for a red one with white vinyl. It'd look like a fire chief's car.

    Says "2-Dr Hardtop", but it's a 4-Door.

Not a bad price for 1976.

I would like that car. I think I did wind up with a newspaper “bait” car for Ken John’s here in Albuquerque. Mine is white with a red interior. As far as options…… Hold my beer……. Fender skirts. Yup that’s it. Dealer installed am/fm but that’s it. Unicorn no doubt, but I kinda dig it. Don’t think mine came with the Cougar either. 830CD64C-5550-450A-B625-ABB89FC93653.jpeg

It’s Interesting that Joseph Cole was very instrumental in the newly developed Cadillac V-8. engine in 1915. Ed Cole, chief engineer at Chevrolet was the force behind the Chevy small block, and later became CEO of GM in 1967. Wonder if they were related? It would have been interesting to see what Ed Cole could have done to Checker had he not died in a plane wreck in 1977, shortly after being named it’s head.

Hmmmmm think that answer might be in the flip of a quarter. Your Cougar looks a tad worn too. Lol
