Missing wheelcover is a nice touch.

Back then, they were likely stolen.

^^^ Lotsa neat vehicles in the shot above....
    - Your basic 'Jeep', before it was called a 'Wrangler'.
    - Toyota Landcruiser
    - Your basic '68 4-door Dodge Dart, in white
    - Mid '70's Country Squire
    - Mid 70's Town & Country
    - Pinto Squire (nose only, left edge of photo)
    - Another Pinto Squire, front row of parking, right under the control tower
    - Early-mid 70's Olds Vista Cruiser, with 'wood', front parking row, over on the left.
    - Two RED pickups. One MIGHT be an International; one MIGHT be a late 50's Ford.

How about the first and second generation Blazers? I would go with the first generation!

My guess is those Fords turned to rust ages ago. Of all the cars in the photo, the white Volvo is the only one I can imagine still being on the road.

Being in Vermont, that's definitely a good possibility.

Yeah, as a kid, I would have wanted the Bel Air too - and it's a 4-door HARDTOP, as well. Around 1960, dad got rid of his '51 (?) Pontiac and bought a white, '58 Chevy 4-door Biscayne sedan. I guess he started to earn a bit more money, because he finally bought his first NEW car in '63 - a Chevy II Nova - and this one was a 2-door hardtop.

I am with you on that. I had a '73 and a buddy had a '72 which I wanted badly. Both were 2WD. I put a 427 and turbo 400 to haul our race car and it was a fun vehicle but it just did not have the "look" of the '72. If I had the chance to acquire a decent '73 and up version I wouldn't turn it down, but in my heart I'd be still wanting the first series. I see several running around this area, some nice, some not so much.

Unfortunately the prices on the first and second generation Blazers have gone through the roof, right along with the first and second gen Broncos.

Reminds me of a line from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

*Terrell and Chekov are fighting against the cyclonic winds*
Chekov: "Are you keeding? Thees ees the 'garden spot' of Ceeti Alpha Seex!"
Terrell: "I can barely see it."
