Didn't I see someone fell off one of those, and was summarily run over, simply because he didn't have his seat belt on?

On my way to work today and at the stop light was behind a ‘76 Vega Kammback wagon. When’s the last time you could say that? Hmmmmmm? 87FE5E44-78D9-4AA9-9FE8-E038C581153C.jpeg

Wow. Hate to be a thread pig, but talk about lightning striking twice. Picking up lunch today at Wendy’s, what should I see but a beautiful Roadmaster wagon in the lot. B86E72E1-B40D-46DA-8051-2DC53BE56B33.jpeg

Pull out of that lot heading back to the office and Bam. Another one the same color in the street not 5 minutes from the last one. I guess there are more of these around than I think. Both in pretty good shape. What’s the chance of that? 496582E6-F50A-41ED-B09B-39F0B5798AA3.jpeg

Glad you couldn't resist ... nice car.

Bit of trivia ... around 1979 a friend bought a black one from an estate sale ... low mileage ... been parked in a shed for a long time .... towed it to me to see about a paint job ... told him to first get it running and do maintenance , and then do the painting.

He sent down his "mechanic" buddy who tried to get it to start .... then I pointed out the carb was flooding massive amounts of old gas ..... I tapped the carb gently which freed up the float and valve .... dried the plugs and it started.

Ran horrible , even after tank flushed and new gas .... engine clicked and clattered and shook and vibrated ..... then I checked the oil .... slightly overfull and a bit thin with gas that had run down the cylinders ... changed the oil and filter and after about 15 minutes that engine was running like brand new ... I am still amazed what a difference the new oil made .

The guy that pulled up in the ‘58 Mark didn’t exactly have to sneak into the service entrance either. What a great time for cars.

It was rode hard then parked for about 5 years. Runs like new but needs brakes and rotors, body and paint and a few interior parts. There isn’t any rust that I can find, not even at the pinch welds on the bottom of the doors.and it has an complete extra car for parts. The front seats are worn and needs reskinned. I bought it at mid blue book price. Thank You Cargurus!
