At least one is even missing. The other one's catching Zs underneath his 54 Pontiac which is waiting for its 428. I think, wagon owners might be using social media, instead of forums. Some are scattered in forums which base on their wagon brands or hotrod/ratrod forums, if they apply. Maybe, you could put together some of those signs real estate agencies use for hammering into lawns. The sign would just have this forum's internet adress printed on it. Then, go around the neighborhood and hammer a sign into a lawn which has a wagon on the driveway or in the garage. Attending large wedding- or birthday parties offers you a chance of walking in with the cake having the forum's link in the form of icing. Since most everyone's got a "Smart"phone, they'll likely type in the link. If you're on your way somewhere and are using the turnpike network, you might want to stop at a reststop and try sneaking into a men's room stall armed with a permanent marker, for distributing the link
I have noticed this as well. It seemed like a couple of times a week a new member was writing an intro in the welcome wagon sub forum. And then it stopped. I haven't checked the dates, but it sure seems like it's been a long time since anyone has joined up and made a post in the welcome section.
Perhaps they are skipping the intro and heading straight to the forums. I hope folks are still making good use on the forums??? Really hate to see it dissolve and loose touch with most of you.
OMG - stores closing and if the forum dissolves, perhaps then I will have to drink beer and cut lawns
Who says you couldn't still swill beer and mow lawns, while surfing with the lap top? That's it! Invent an automatic pilot for the mower or cannibalize it from one of those Mowbots. It's never too late for getting rich on a patent. It beats mowing neighborhood lawns for chump change, thus giving the kids you take their jobs away from an excuse to go sell drugs. Then again, if contemporary kids aren't mowing lawns for padding their meager allowances anymore, it probably would be fun throwing the newspapers they would otherwise have delivered from your mower. We're not dying off so fast that this'll immediately turn into a ghostforum
It's summer.....schools out.....people are outdoors doing stuff. Forums are in indoor activity and most joining takes place when folks are stuck indoors.
I belong to THREE separate wagon groups on Facebook. I'm constantly mentioning the forum as a good 'get together' place, or as a place to post a restoration thread. Not seeing any takers.......
Yeah, because it's Facebook. I'd try one of the more uppity media networks like Instagram or even Twitter. Facebook is slumming and mainly for persons who want to be noticed rather than pay attention to anything important
Nice going. That was really rainbow colored. Do you think nobody saw what you have had done? Should I post the screenshot for you? Did you tell your mother, also? Sincerely, "The Grammar Nazi"
