Who would put such a candidate for the crusher on eBay? This thing is junk. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1980-Pontiac-Le-Mans-/282950158278?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Yes and the seller even puts “USA Buyers only”. I think it be better listed as “No USA Buyers” to help keep America beautiful!
It needs work and it isn't pretty, but if you look past the doors on the driver's side the rest of what is there looks solid. If the frame is solid (the whole thing) then this isn't a bad car. It already has a Pontiac V8 which could be a placeholder for a Pontiac 350. It also has one of the rarer front ends of the A/G-Body wagons on it. It does have A/C and cruise. Cannot tell if it has PW, but probably not.
Joking that shipping the car out of the country was in everyone's best interest! Also a reference to the old ad campaign from the 70's I believe called "Keep America Beautiful" regarding removing litter. The wagon's not that bad but if I was the seller, I'd sell it to anyone from anywhere who was interested!
Sorry all, I just can't see the appreciation for this @ $1000, or even $500, or even............ Parts car at best, for the price you would have to be very desperate IMO.
A/G wagons are getting pretty scarce. If this thing isn't a rot box underneath it could be a decent builder. Not saying I would give $1000, but with some love it would be a good driver.
Anyone who's contemplating driving that horrible thing should be planning on how to install windshield wipers on all side glass, in preparation for all the rotten tomatoes and eggs flying wagonwards
Maybe, potential buyers are paying him to keep it. That would be a good enough reason to buy it and hide it in some garage. The lucky new owner would never have to work again, through keeping it for sale
I think using the word 'vintage' in this case implies something that just isn't there. - It's an old, worn-out, beat-up wagon. Use those words in the ad, and you might get some mercy offers.
