I have a 51 Chrysler Town and Country wagon. I can't find the VIN. It has a tag on the door post with a Vehicle No. This doesn't match the title's VIN and I've been assured by DMV that the Vehicle No. is not the VIN. I vaguely remember this when the I titled the car over 30 years ago but for the life of me I can't remember where the inspector found the VIN and I can't find now.

    Any suggestions?

i read somewhere about someone hunting a vin number, and it was somewhere around a door jamb, firewall, or underneath the door openings

still search for Chrysler VIN location

I've checked the firewall, steering column, under the dash, around the doors, door posts, the frame. I'm stumped.
