    what I don't know is...

    My hubby had to have the surgery just because his prostate was so enlarged he couldn't urinate. His doctor says "It's not that uncommon." This was all before I met him but he was so young! In his late 40's. I haven't researched it that much just talked to his doctor about it and now his tests are real low and cancer was never really mentioned. But I still find myself trying to read things like you found anyway. Can't be too careful. Hubby is 62 now and going strong. Bless me!

    So am I. Here it costs $20,000. I'm always interested in health solutions, but I prefer prevention more.:)

    Agreed. Richard takes supplements that have been found to lower the PSA (is that the right acronym??? anyway...) and they worked for him.

    Could prostate problems be genetic? I know they are widespread.

    Yeah, I haven't read up as much as hubby has but like I said by the time we met and married he had been over his "episode" and using the preventative measures for 7-8 years.
