What if his bleeding procedure tripped the proportioning valve? Getting it centered again is a PITA if you don't know what you're doing.

How can one bleed in such a screwed up way as to distort the valve?

It don't distort the valve. One of the functions of a proportioning valve is to act as a fail-safe in case of brake line failure. If it senses a failure, it will pop and shut that part of the brake circuit off. It still leaves you with half your brakes instead of none. While bleeding brakes, if you pump them up, crack the bleeder open AND let the peddle go all the way to the floor, it can pop the valve. Then you have to fart around with selective bleeding to get it centered again.

I dig, Sir. I hope, it's just something simple. He knows where we are, when he needs us.

I'll repeat this from the other thread. There seem to be a couple of brake threads going on. Remember this tip. The linings on brake shoes are of different lengths. The short shoe is always installed toward the front of the vehicle.

First thing I learned on drum brakes, after "wear safety glasses before taking the springs off."

    "BIG to the back."

I always removed my springs bare-eyed, Sir.
Krandall should pull both drums, to make sure that the shoes aren't mounted backwards, then. As soon as he straightens that out, should he then get a normal pedal?

No, he will just get proper braking with no abnormal wear. The long shoe takes the brunt of the stopping.

Right now, it seems he needs to straighten out his brakes, to the point where he won't be needing both shoes on the pedal, before he goes getting the brake shoes attached in their proper order, Sir?

One, the main issue is no boost. Much as it's important to point out "Big to the Back," that would not cause someone to have to put both feet on the pedal to get the pedal within a couple inches of the floor. Yes, he should verify his shoe positions. Yes, he should verify the prop valve has not tripped. But, based on what his answer was to me, I think his booster's shot.

Has the car been sitting for a while? I've had a number of 67's with collapsed rubber lines. All of them after sitting. Make sure when bleeding them you have full pressure out of the lines

His main issue is no braking not his booster . Needs to verify all components before looking at booster .
