Most of that was mumbo-jumbo and gobble-dee-gook.That Investor Speak,Norman was talking about...What it boils down to is this;the littlest bad thing happens to the supply line, and gas prices go up instantaneously---when something good happens, like this,no matter how big or small,it takes about six to eight weeks to have an effect on gas prices...At least, that's how it works in America...Just as summer here,is about to end,the prices will go gack down.Probably between 20 and 30 cents a gallon...But then, that happens every year,so this may be just a way for this one reporter to look good...To people who haven't been paying attention...:banghead3:
Seems this system is uniform across the globe always quick to go up, but painfully slow to come down.
I'm quoting myself?? I realised that something is amiss here!? The govermnet is abolishing the 8cent a litre subsidy at the end of this month(June 30 is end of the financial year). The petition to stop this, well submissions end sometime in July?? So we'll try and stop the 8cent price hike after it's introduced??
How much is a 6 pack or 12 pack of Heineken beer? The Heineken bottles in Canada contain 330ml of beer.
For a 24 carton of Heineken stubbies currently on special for $45, normal price $54(AUD) Stubbie size is generally 375ml.
An interesting event this week. Usually I fill up on BP 98oct, but I was running low and pulled into a Shell service station. Filled up on their special "V Power" 98oct special formulation at $1.29 per litre. The result, well my average fuel economy around town is about 20.5mpg now with this "V Power" it's at an astounding 13.84mpgWhat the??? (Go well, go shell?)
^^^^^ That's a HUGE difference. I would suspect that something is wrong - either with your calculations, or your vehicle.
Either way he sprang a leak in his wallet. May change the valuation to how many meters per dollar. So you won't play the Shell Game anymore huh?
It's a worry when your petrol guage beats the speedo & the tacho!!! Actually the last time this happened I was caught short again and the place I stopped at had 91oct with 10% ethanol. I supposed it's hard to prove what fuel is actually coming out of the bowser?? (Or the fuel tanker driver forgot his glasses on his last delivery "which hole was its again. oh-this'll do) Could be the on board computer is faulty? In which case the engine diagnostics would not respond?? So then is it a computer fault and an engine fault??? It was alot easier when an engine was an engine:confused:
My brother-in-law,the VW repairman pointed out;the reason the dashboard in the new Bugs takes up almost a third of the interiour, has more to do with "that's where they put all the onboard computer consoles(18)and less to do with the body styling...I can remember days when you looked under the hood, you could actually see the engine, and the ground undernaeth,at certain angles...Now all you see,is the top of the intake cover and little else.
Oh how very true. They also mark items that you should not touch in red & things like water & other fluids that need regular checking are marked in yellow.
He also says, the check engine light has a timer on it.From the time it's new and after every time it's reset,it turns the check engine light on at 35,000 mile intervals...AND,that VW is in no way,the only car company that does this...Oh,,,and you have to go to a dealer to get it reset, and there's a fee involved.
And not just to get the check engine light reset,either...You take the car in for that,,,and then there's probably several other things that are going to be wrong with the car...Pretty soon you're shelling out several grand just to get your car back...
