I like, I like a lot....... I like the 'patina" look, nothing to hide, just a honest truck all around
Worked half day yesterday but came home and in between working on new addition on the shop, I was able to get most of the top of the motor disconnected. I'm off next weekend so hope to pull motor. I have to do the underside stuff early when I first get up since my leg swells as day goes on. I'm thankful this is a easy motor to do. You know, the one's that younger people pull in about 2 hours and about 4 hours later they have the other one back in and running. I think I may be able to tackle it in a few weekends! Anyway, I hand painted the lettering on my doors to complete the "Shop Truck" Look and a couple pictures of our shop addition. Just a carport now but will probably close it in.
I put the vinyl letters on 4 years ago, so I cheated, traced them with a marker, peeled them off and painted...and no one paints sober! And I did get the old jewel under that new addition. I think we are going to close it in later but for now it works great for it! Pictures by weekend, if pops don't shove it out in the woods!
Got the motor out, then the rain came down! Been raining last few hour. I work next Saturday so may be following before I get the other motor in it. Wife made plans for tomorrow but one is out anyway.
Been wanting one of them there fork lift thingys for a few years now.......be cheaper in the long run compared to the beer I buy when I need help...... and it would profit me beer from those!
I was a fork lift operator before I was a truck driver. Probably the best job I had. Would have been handy down in Florida but here it's about as useful as a snowblower would have been this winter. Sure glad I didn't buy one to blow the little snow we had. At least 1tire got some good parts with that junk engine. The valve covers, headers, and front drive pulley stuff is worth what he paid for the truck.
