Thought you may enjoy this vid of the GM Holden R8 Tourer Sportwagon up against the Audi RS6 wagon.
The power each car produces is:
    GMH 317Kw or 425Bhp (front)
    Audi 426Kw or 571Bhp (front)

This is taken from Top Gear Australia, via youtube.
The R8 is the one I'm currently trying to purchase:evilsmile:

    Hubba hubba!

I had a previous generation Audi A6 Avant, and it was a real nice car - just very expensive to maintain.

For 1/4 of the money, the Holden would do just fine........

Ah but the need fer speed....what kin I say but when I feel the need I git the best feeling from me 56 Ferd with the duals howling and the wind noise and all the rattles and bangs...aint it nice when we git older we kin take a trip and not even leave the room but now that I back I was out fer real in one of the fellas new Vett with all da go go...It fast and goes up to a hundred and fifty MPH like nothing with the six speed and will do jist about two hundred MPH...Like him said it a happening but them makes it soo good that you loose the realism of what is a happening...

Good point FF. When I build a car I always expect to be awed by its torque and speed. The torque is always a seat crushing rush but when you look at the speedo and it says 120....you wonder how you got there without the associated rush. When you are in a solidly built car built for speed...you don't really notice how fast it really is. That can also be dangerous.

That's the nice thing about the rattling windows. You don't have to open them to hear the sirens chasing you at 120 MPH! :rofl2:

Well....a fast car that's built for it is fun but it's true that it will quickly pass the speed limit without you realizing it if you aren't careful. Happened to me all the time. Especially in my 88 Electra wagon. The car was solid, heavy and with the built 455...fast. That car would fool you all the time. I would be driving with the cruise off and look down and I would be cruising at 85 or 90 thinking I was at 55. I DID get tickets with that wagon.

Looks like GMH doesn't want to be outdone by the Audi's performance so they've created another monster.
Currently these are available as sedans, but the option will be available soon for the wagons as an added upgrade of about $40,000 - $45,000.
The shorter video talks in horsepower and is straight to the point. The longer video is metric and goes on a bit but shows more track work & performance driving.

Nice! Thanks for that, GMW. That engine looks like a 3800. I kept rerunning the vids but was unable to determine what engine that is?? I thought he said a 6.2 liter 3 8. Can you help me to assimilate what engine that is, GMW?

(1)When my wife went from driving an 86 Reliant to an 88 Acura Legend, the ending up going faster than the speed limit had mostly to do with the differences in drivetrains...When it happened when she went from the Legend to the Colony Park,it had to do with the ride...And,eventhough the Legend was a racecar compared to the Reliant(and the Colony Park),she really didn't like the Legend and missed the Reliant until we got the Colony Park.
(2)Starting in 1969,when the car insurance industry started changing it's rules, cars with more than 400 hp faded from view rather quickly.Unless I'm mistaken, the Dodge Viper was the only "from the factory" car with more than 400 hp,since the mid 70's.All those special Mustangs and Corvettes have been "after-market" creations...I don't think we'll be seeing the V-10 Audi here in America, any time soon...:(
