Wow...that thing is a real catch! It even has those old Liberty Bell PA tags on it. They phased them out starting in '77

Thanks for that, I've seen the same kind of tag on Grandpa's 1941 Dodge which hasn't been on the road since the same year this Wagon was.

That's where the map in the ad shows it at even though the tags are for Pennsylvania.

Yep, the Liberty Bell plates. My dad bought a 75 Torino Squire in '77 and he had one of the low number "new" yellow PA plates that replaced the Bell's. He had that yellow tag for like 30 years until PA sent him a replacement.

I think West Virginia is next to Virginia on the map...I think it's to the left if you're looking at it directly....or is it the right? WV borders PA for a spell there in SW PA. Actually Wheeling is pretty close to Pittsburgh - what maybe 60 or so miles as the crow flies?

I'm not sure how common saying "Pennsyltucky" is but I've heard my Dad say it many times. Hah.

Also, I find it interesting just to think this is about what a junky teenage car would have looked like in the early 1970s. This fits the bill, considering the tailgate rust.

I am honestly surprised this is still listed for sale. I thought it'd be gone by now.....

No Price listed and "accepting offers" usually makes me pass on any car ad. Makes me believe the seller is unrealistic on the price.

That 60 Merc got me to thinking. This one is still for sale up in Pennsyltucky. He must want a ton of cash for it. If I had a ton of cash, I might think about it.

Yep, I know the feeling. I started working my first 67 Merc in '92 when I was a young man. Got some stuff done but never finished it. Sold it in '94 to a friend when life got in the way......

Thankfully the car still exists, not in good shape. But when I seen it last week, it sure brought back some good memories....
