Hello everyone, I stumbled across this site while researching tire sizes for my new driver, a 1979 Chevy Caprice Classic wagon. Pontiacs are my favorite cars, I have been driving a 1987 Pontiac Safari, and he's just worn out. I spent the day today pulling out my good radio, speakers and subwoofer and found to my surprise that the dash pad is the same, as well as the radio faceplate so my sound system will go into the Chevy without destroying anything. The Chevy was a real find, bought at a dealer for less than scrap price at the time. It has 61,000 miles and the interior, including the headliner is nearly perfect. But listening to AM radio for more than about twenty seconds makes me crazy. The Chevy runs and drives like a brand new car. The body's got a few scrapes and dents, nothing major and mostly on the passeger side. Someone went wild with a spray can trying to hide them and only succeeded in making them look worse. I saw someone here has a couple of German Shepard dogs, I am owned by a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepard. I'll be posting the Pontiac, and an 85 Olds in the parts section, along with another 1987 Pontiac Safari wagon that would be a nice project, it's too nice to part out. Thanks, Chris
Hey howdy. Vale, had to look it up on the map, that's out there in the country! StorminNorman and I were out to Hettinger North Dakota last year to pick up my Fairmont that I bought on ebay. Sure is pretty out there. Never seen so many pheasants, of all things...
Yeah Chris, as HandyAndy said, pretty countryside! Funny about your Chev/Pontiac sharing parts over the same years as our Fox-bodied Fairmont/Zephyr/LTD II wagons (1978 to 1986). Good to have you aboard.
Welcome to the forum! Yes, there are a few of us that have GSD's.... I have a 4 year old male, hes my first GSD to myself, and will not be the last. I grew up with Collies and one Sheltie....great breeds but just always wanted a GSD.
Nice Day Good Morning, nice day here in SD, yesterday it was stupid hot, 90 degrees. I'm having trouble posting pics, and I see you have to post five times to put a for sale ad, so I need to figure out what's wrong. Good Day to everyone! Chris
Posting Pics instructions are down in here: http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=19
Thank you, I'll check it out. It may be here on my end though, I recently changed from a satellite isp to a card through my cell phone company and my comuter has locked up twice on me now, once when I tried to print out a bill and then when I was trying to upload a pic to this site. But I will have to check it out later, time to go to work! Chris
