Very classy ride! I saw a straight-up mustang like that at one of the yards last week. Might go back later this week, if you need some bits. The doors were off and some interior parts, and it was an accident car, so I don't know if anything is much good.

Right... After that Federal announcement, I'm gonna scout around for a Mustang Turbo and rewire, rebuild and reload my Wagon. I'll never get more than 30-35 MPG out of the six, as good as it is. Maybe 2 years from now, but in the meantime I got me a solid ride.

Thanks! The asc/McLaren cars are a bit unique. The windshield is laid back 20* more than standard, and the top folds under a hard cover. They're also only a two seater.

Anyway, I can't stand the dash, just plain ugly in my opinion, thus I was thinking that the Thunderbird dash might look a bit better.

Then again, I've also been thinking about a nice '87 or '88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe.

    Shiny Side Up!

Obviously the asc?McLaren has some beefy go-power. What is it?

Nothin' special. They had 5.0 HO motors, all stock. Mine has a cats-back system from Magnaflow, but that's the only real deviation from stock.

Tha asc/McLaren package was pretty much a luxury sport car, like a Mercedes SL. They didn't make a ton of them, only around 3,000 from 84-90. The early cars were based on the Capri, while the later ones were based on Mustangs. In '89, my year, they built 247 of them, and only one in yellow :yahoo:
