My #1 son is getting married this Sept. I need a little help finding a mother/son to dance to at the reception...any suggestions???
You can't go wrong with Sinatra. Maybe "I wish you love" by Sinatra or Robert Goulet. "The way you look tonight" or "they can't take that away from me"
I'll check these out. Thanks This is what he is leaning towards... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMmTkKz60W8&feature=youtu.be
"Simply Man" is a looong song. Almost 6:00 mins. we'll have to learn some fancy steps to dazzle the group with...
"Stacey's Mom" is a great tune...don't know if that would be wedding dance material, though!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZLfasMPOU4
"What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3yCcXgbKrE another one by Louis Armstrong from a James Bond movie might be a good one for him and his new bride. "All the Time in the World" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJeEwkVoUpk Now if you want something more cheesy there's "A Mother's Love" by Jim Brickman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3BrcqoSqMQ or "My Mom" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwDKDNvusZE But then, maybe you could go for "Mama Told Me Not To Come" by Three Dog Night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKaQzQAlNn4 or "Your Mama Don't Dance" by Loggins and Messina https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hlMi6PvUDE How are you at disco dancing? You could dance to a disco version of "House of the Rising Sun" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkgIlXqIfzk
How about that song they play at strip clubs???? But then you'd need a pole! Just trying to do my part to help!
'Simple Man' by Lynyrd Skynyrd would not be a good choice. A lot of the song is actually too slow to dance to. And as others have said, too looong. You could do a medley - you pick the first half, your son picks the second half.
I just know you had fun when you were younger sooooooooo BLOW everyone's mind and....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV0F_XiR48Q EDIT..... BTW, Congrats on getting junior married off and out of your basement!....... Or is that where the happy couple will be living?? J/K.....I hope!
How about that song they play at strip clubs???? Don't forget my suggestion. You can buy poles of different shapes, sizes, and types from any hardware store. I'm sure one up to 10' long will fit in your fanny if you hurry and finish it before the wedding. Your son and the rest of the family will remember for the rest of their lives.
Forget??? I was actually trying to gracefully over look it. Although the suggestion to finish Fanny before the wedding sounds awesome.
