This is Jerry & Julie from Bowling Green Ky. We are the proud owners of a 1959 Parkwood.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima We love old cars and motorcycles. We team drive a expediting truck across this fine country. Going to use the flyer on the hot rod power tour. It has the original 283 with glide.

Your cars look very much the same in those itty bitty pics. What is the difference between them?

brookwood was the bottom of the line in the wagons, then came the parkwood, kingswood and finally the nomad. i'm not sure about the other models but the brookwood was also available in a 2 door wagon.
283 with a powerglide is what mine came with also but an overdrive trans will make the hrpt much more enjoyable and economical. i've done the tour 4 times in the wagon so if you have any questions .feel free to ask. good luck

    :Welcome:aboard Jerry & Julie.
Looks like a cool '59 in the Avatar. Would you be able to post more pics of it for a closer look? :camera:
Looks like a great ride to do the Power Tour in, but I agree with putting an overdrive trans in it for economy and less wear and tear on the engine. Love those old 283's.
