Hi all! My first post... here's my baby!!! 1966 Plymouth Fury III Hey everyone! I'm glad to have found this wonderful place! I've got a 1966 Plymouth Fury III Wagon. I've always loved the '66 Furys (my dad still has his 4 door sedan). Sadly, I'm still short a couple parts to get it complete, but I'M CLOSE! I've also got a 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Sportback (wagon). Only made for that one year and I'm the original owner. Nearly 200k miles on it and still running strong. Although I prefer to drive the Fury, the Lancer is still "old reliable" for the longer road trips.
we are glad you found this wonderful place too! That's a great looking station wagon. Good luck finding your parts.
Thanks! I only need: Radio Glove Box Interior Spare Tire Cover ...I know I can get the radio and glove box interior just about any day of the week, but that spare tire compartment cover is IMPOSSIBLE
Welcome, pme(Bill?) Nice wagon. I think I'd prefer the Fury as well, although the Mitsubishi is a cute little wagon. (Post up some pics of that one as well). I see you're in south OC. Used to live in the City of Orange, and back in '86, I purchased a Mitsu Galant from Irvine Mitsubishi...... Here it is in my driveway.... Glad to have you on the forum! Marshall
Marshall, I grew up in Santa Ana (3rd Generation Santa Ana family)... Spent some years in Orange, HB and Fountain Valley. Just moved to South OC and although the streets make no sense, I do like the area (especially NO STREET SWEEPER ON MY STREET!). I do truly like driving the Fury, but it's a long way from being done. I'll be swapping out the motor next year, adding the Factory AC back in, and eventually reupholstering and repainting the entire thing (but really, motor first). The Mitsu is a deceiving little thing. It has a ton of off-the-line speed and corners sooooo good. The storage area beats most SUVs with the seats folded down. Although I prefer the boat of the Fury, the Mitsu is the closest thing to a sports car I'll have for the foreseeable future (I sold my old Jensen-Healey a year ago and still miss it!). If you're ever down in the area, feel free to stop by! Always glad to have a fellow wagon lover over. Bill
Love that 66 Fury wagon. Almost bought one myself instead of the Belvedere wagon I now have. Now I'm kind of looking for a 66 Sport Fury convertible. Welcome aboard.
Wow! Hi, Just seen the picture of your Fury. What a great looking station wagon and what a fantastic colour. ColoUr - I'm in the UK! Rusty1
Spare tire cover to the party Bill. Try Moore's auto Salvage in Rapid City for your tire cover. They say they have a '67 fury III long roof in their stash. Could be the same YEAH THINK? Take their Plymouth tour and give them the ID# of that '67 when you contact them. They've got so much iron on that prairie that without the # they can't even find it! G.L. with it:2_thumbs_up_-_anima, Jer
Welcome to the nuthouse we call Home. Great wagon. For the tire cover, there are more than just that one make, model and year as potential donors. 65, for sure, and quite likely 67 and 68, and all 3 MOPAR brands, would have used the same cover. The joys of badge engineering. Good luck on the hunt!
