That would be worth it just for the seats......

Hmmmmmmm, never thought of that. I wonder how they would look in my blue interior Beateor considering when I quit procrastinating and get it on the road I'd probably never have the rear seats up for comparison anyways......

Not for $650 but I'm gona watch this ad to see if it sells and or the price drops. ( cars like this are not very popular out here anymore) Would be a lot more comfy and cooler in the summer rather than the 3rd degree burn factory vinyl bench I have........

Mid-size vs. full-size. Might be a little narrow for the Beateor. Also. You would have to 'de-floppy' it (2-door thing...)

True on the mid size vs. full size..... but then again back in that era of fords a mid size was just about as wide inside as a full size. Don't worry though, if it happened a full measurement would happen before any purchase :yup:...but you have made me wonder...............:rednose:

The one I bought for a parts car way back when for my '74 Ranchero Squire looked exactly like that, colors and all. I traded a '75 Caddy Seville for it and a beautiful-condition, low-mileage '84 Dodge Charger hatchback. The Cad was worth about $1800 because of the engine and trans rebuild at a voc/tech (the owner was the small-engine instructor at the voc-tech and long-time friends with the head automotive instructor), so I sold the Elite's drivetrain and interior for a thousand, and traded the Charger for a '91 Sable sedan with all the bells and whistles (it just needed a temp sensor and a fuel pump). Then I stripped the rest of the Elite, sold off the body parts, and kept all the mechanical parts to fix up the Squire.

Looks like a potential deal, but what's going on on the exterior where the power sunroof panel used to be?

Because it has one. That's why the vinyl looks like it's shot; it had me fooled, too.

Where'd this photo come from? It's not of the Elite, it's a 4-door.

If you want, I can measure the bench in my '79 Ranchero, as it's the same dimensions as the Elite. Just PM me if you do.

Has nothing to do with the landau vinyl rear roof!!

    What about the front sunroof?

I thought sunroof also but as seller makes no mention of one witch would IMO be big help sale wise I think it's just a trashed vinyl top.

How about just posting the over all width rite hear? Would/could be good reference material for not just me but others.:tiphat:

    EDIT......

Good eye, I didn't notice that before. I don't know about the 70's Fords, but my dad had a 87 T-Bird with a glass factory sunroof. It had a by hand sliding blind colour matched to the interior, could be that or maybe the sun roof on this one is not glass so..........??

The brochure indicates you could order your Elite with either a power glass moonroof, or a power metal-panel sunroof.
