Nick Alexander, the owner of the collection, owns a BMW dealership in an industrial section of L.A., south of the downtown. Until now, I didn't know he had a woody collection.

I'd be happy to own just 1. Here's a few more pics that are not on those links

Gives me woody, just lookin' at them!:biglaugh:

Truly a lost art. It sure would be interesting to compare these beauties to today's plastic framed cars. I saw a production line shot during this whole auto bailout disaster showing how they molded/injected the entire superstructure from the floor and up. You get in a bumper shoot and the car's a candidate for a dip in Krazy Glue to hold it together.

Holy Crap! I'm sprouting one just gazing through that collection!

In the last pic, see the Marmon-Harrington 4x4 Ford woody wagon conversion??? Oh, man, what a sweetie that is!

Geez, I'm a Mopar freak, but I'd go nuts strolling around in there, looking at all of those fine wagons!

The things I'd do to be owner of that collection are downright disgraceful LOL.

That's cause he's got them all in his corral. Although... I think Andy and I saw some on our way to picking up his latest Fairmont wagon. Near Hettinger, ND. Nice drive, almost near the SD border and Montana border (Sw corner of ND). Lots of old collectible projects.
