That's probably the biggest hood ornament I've ever seen.
Good luck with your new Roadmaster; am eager to see it when you're all done.

Wouldn't like the view from the driver's seat. I agree, the hood ornament is rather large. :rofl2:

Not much updates on this one.... I have celebrating the holidays in capitol city, with a girl i just met, so the north of sweden, and the cars had some vacation from me too.. As i am an old, tired man. I left the Roadmaster at my sons shop before i left, for some checkups prior the vehicle inspection, and he foud some rust on the frame, and in the spare tire compartment. I will get it back this week, fixed up, he even has put some epoxi paint on the underside of the car from what i heard.. I am starting to get a pile of things home that awaits the paintjob too.. Bought Diamond brite headlights, wits HID conversions, some Mangles wheels with smaller winter tires, and some soundsystem components.. Still looking for clear taillights, but cant seem to find any, so if anyone has some tids, i´d appreciete to here about it..
Will check in for updates, with some pics later.. I got my driving licens revoked, so i will have some time at home with the computer the following weeks...

What ? No wagon anymore. No license? What about the new girlfriend?

Every man needs a driver license, a girlfriend, and most of all, a station wagon to love! Or something like that.

Oh my GOD! My heart skipped a beat or two, just thinking of it:character0182:
Ofcourse i have a wagon, i cant imagine living without at least one, haha. I still own a V70 beater, and the new Roadmaster project.. My license was recalled for two months, and i will get it back in five more weeks.. And, yesss, i found me two sheps, with a girl attatched to them, the dogs love eachother, and both her dogs likes me and vice versa, so.... The outcome of that is kind of natural...:yahoo: The two to the left is hers..

:feedback: As for this thread..... The Roadie is currently at my sons shop, he is fixing some rust in the frame, the spare tire compartment and the few spots of rust it had on the body.. I will paint the car black, as mentioned before, but the GF think it would look a lot meaner in non, or semi gloss.. I usually paint my cars sharp, hi gloss black with clear, just for the sake of it, but i start thinking of doing it semi gloss this time.. Non gloss is out of the question, cause i hate dirty cars, and it will be harder to keep it decently clean. What do you think? High, or semi gloss? I think that i COULD paint it semi for now, and add a couple of layers of clear if i dont like it, but i would appreciate some input from you guys, and girls..

Well this is difficult. A pretty girl and two dogs against me and 10,000 other station wagon members.
I never did like flat paint of any color. But the semi gloss may be a good plan with the idea you can add a gloss clear coat later if you dump the girlfriend or convince her shiny is better. As for the dogs, they have no idea what color it is and won't care.

Excuse an european without a clue, and with a bad camera?
Can anyone tell me what bulbs will fit in these headlights? I bought a set on EBay with xenon bulbs, but they will not pass the vehicle inspection on a car this old with xenons, so i will have to replace them with halogens during the inspection.. But i dont recognise the fittings.. Help?
