Hi, my name is Lannie and while searching for parts for my newly bought 1964 Chevy Impala wagon I ran into this website. I am looking forward to restoring it and with the help and knowledge on this website I think I found the right place to start. I have always loved wagons, and who hasn't, and one day on Ebay I found the 64 up for bid and decided to give it a try since the bid was low. I just bid on a whim because I thought there was no way I could win this awesome car for the bid that is was currently at and lo and behold I won. It was a win, win in my book.

Welcome to the nuthouse we call home. You're going to fit right in around here. What are the plans for that great wagon? Also, check out the 64 Impala wagon thread in the restoration section. It is an Australian wagon, but the build is amazing.

Thanks everyone for having me. MikeT, the interior looks really nice but I still want to redo the interior to show quality original specs with a kit from Ciadella's. It still has the stock 283 and 2 speed powerglide that still run great but I am leaning towards an LS2 swap since I already have a 4l70 trans, some stock 243 heads, stock LS2 cam and some other accessories from my Trailblazer SS laying around that I can put into it. I may have found 3 small dings in the whole body but I still want to get it re-painted to a damn near show car quality paint job. I will probably keep the air bags but redo the rest of the suspension and go for a different set of wheels. I have only driven it once since I bought it but man does it turn heads. Honestly, I still don't know what my ultimate final plan is for the car because I would like a factory correct, matching numbers type of car but at the same time I want to make it mine and also add some more power and better fuel mileage with the LS swap and other changes.

Welcome aboard! You got me missing my '64 Impala SS convertible with that wagon picture - mine was white also. Cool ride - congrats! So what's the plans for it?

Bagged which can be adjusted by each wheel individually but is such a pain in the ass to level. I need to invest in Accuair's e-level kit.

Wow that's the first time I have heard that! Most folks say Yeah I need shocks, or the Air Volume is not enough or the compressor fills too slow... or My Favorite..

    It leaks!

Wow... Good Luck with it my friend. :camera:
