Looks to be a museum quality Pinto Squire. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/3718989093.html (Cleveland Ohio)
My only problems with this one is the automatic transmission and the very low mileage. I am concerned that it hasn't been run enough to keep the workings supple. mike
this one... hmmm... I've seen other pictures of this one(or another just like it)other places on the web. One has to wonder why they want so much for it. Did they do a major re-do on it? Even if it's a survivor, I don't think it's worth $7,500. And for that much, there better not be anything wrong with it for the next few years. Not even if I'd already won the Powerball and it was a Bobcat would I be quick to buy this one. One has to be somewhat leery of this car...
what?!? And 110 on the speedo ?!? Even if it had a V^, it wouldn't be getting near that top speed !!!
They got that Pinto wagon in the Blues Brothers going pretty fast too. Oh wait, that was gravity assisted.
This one's cheaper. Should buff up and come back pretty well too. http://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/3599457037.html
I know the one you're thinking of, Taranau. We've got pics of it in the gallery (Ford section). This is not the same one. THAT one had the deluxe interior, IIRC. This one has the 'Not Deluxe' interior! Here it is - page 57 of the Ford section. It was for sale in San Diego in 2009 I think. Also didn't realize it right away - this new one's a '75. The one in the gallery is a '73. Note the bumpers.
Love the tow hitch. My guess is that it wouldn't tow more than a hot dog cart....unloaded, of course.
